OUR HISTORY: Ebenezer Eritrean Church (EEC) held its first service with 34 persons on March 30, 2008 at the Unification Church of Washington DC. Two months later, we moved to Washington International Church in Washington, D.C.. In February of 2010, to accommodate the growing need of the church, Ebenezer had to relocate to a larger and more convenient location in the Embassy Row located at 3855 Massachusetts Avenue. On February 2011 we started conducting our services in Twelfth Street Christian Church at 1812 12th st NW, Washington, DC 20009. The church called and installed Pastor Goitom Mezghebo to be its pastor on October 11, 2009. On First of September 2019, we adapted new service hour to better serve our congregation and relocated to 1701 11th street Washington DC. Our service is now at historic Lincoln Memorial Temple Washington DC

OUR SERVICES: Since its establishment, Ebenezer Eritrean Church has grown in many ways and through its several ministries serves both its members and Eritrean Christians all over the world. Our Sunday Service includes Bible teachings and discussions from 10:00-11:00 AM and a worship service from 11:00-1:00 PM. The worship service is streamed live on our website. In addition, EEC has 6 small groups that meet weekly Bible Study, prayers, and fellowship in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. There are also regular Friday night prayer services in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

OUR TENETS OF FAITH: We believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We believe that salvation is by grace through Christ alone. We believe that baptism is a commandment of our Lord and that it demonstrates to the world our death, burial and resurrection with Christ and our obedience to Him.

OUR VISION: Our vision is to bear lasting fruit by bringing multitudes to Christ and edifying believers to grow into Christ-like maturity, and equipping believers to serve inside and outside the church. We will also help spread the Gospel all over the world and especially in Eritrea.

OUR LEADERSHIP: Our church has a congregational form of government and is led by a Board of Elders. The Board of Elders consists of the pastor and elected elders. An elder is nominated by the board of elders and elected by the congregation to serve for a term of two years.
